I am a previous D200 and D70 owner. Maybe it is that the controls are very similar but for whatever reason I am getting really stunning results with the D300. It seems to have much better ability to evaluate the lighting conditions and come up with really nice tonality and color. I am still working on the new focusing issues, but even without fully understanding it the results seem really good.
