I have been researching Nikon cameras to upgrade my ancient D1H's and I debated about going with a D200 OR D2H since I could practically get 2 of them for the proce of a D300. Well my advice on the D300 is BELIEVE the HYPE - this camera is the real deal. I have only owned this about 2 days and already I am saving my beans to buy another one. Low light capabilities are amazing- even handheld! FPS is great- even without the MB-D10 battery pack, LCD is incredibly clear and bright even during midday sun and Nikon has improved basic navigation of menus and settings.
